There are many people who were reported as missing and were never founded. The list of missing people has very well known personalities who are marked as missing because their cases were not solved in spite so many investigations. So here is the list of top 10 unexplained disappearances.

10. Louis Le Prince

 

Louis Le Prince was a Frenchman and was the inventor of the first motion picture camera along with projection system. He tested his camera in year 1888 to shoot a scene of Roundhay Garden, in which he was successful by making a clip of nearly about two seconds. His disappearance took place in September 1890 when he boarded a train to Paris to meet his family and to demonstrate his camera over there. But as the train arrived at Paris, Mr. Louis Le Prince along with his luggage and camera was disappeared. No trace of him was found anywhere. But afterwards Thomas Edison invented the same type of camera which was pointing that may be he is responsible for Louis Le Paris disappearance.

9. Flight 19

Flight 19 was a group of five torpedo trainees who disappeared during their training in Florida. In 1945 they were on their training mission and suddenly contact was broken and they all were lost. Not even single evidence of their’s was found and along with that when a new plane was exploded in their search carrying 13 airmen was also lost. This was reported as the most unusual disappearances since in this the search team was also lost. This case became the most debated topic and many theories were also set on this. Some theories were also regarding supernatural powers and some stated that they must have flown to mars. This incident became the important factor in the formation of the Bermuda Triangle.

8. Ambrose Bierce

 

Ambrose Bierce was a very famous American writer. Ambrose was famous for his Devil’s Dictionary and along with many squat stories of ghosts and devils and evils. He became famous at San Francisco Examiner where he kept his suspicious, pessimistic and sarcastic ideas. His theories  gave him the famous the name “Bitter Bierce”. His unusual disappearance was reported when he was on his tour to battlefields in south in 1931 when he was around seventy one year old. He passed Mexico and stayed there as an observer of Pancho villa’s Army during the Mexican revolution. And their only near Chihuahua in late 1913 or we can say in early 1914 he was lost. Some critics said that he was murdered by Pancho because they were afraid of their secrets being revealed to the enemy. His last letter which described about pan of old age and diseases points out that it can be the case of suicide too.

7. Percy Fawcett

 

Percy Fawcett was a British archaeologist, was very famous for his map-making. Percy Fawcett was a great lover of adventure and had made mostly maps regarding the south jungles of America. He wanted to find the undiscovered cities which are lost deep in jungles. On 25 may, 1925 Percy along with his son jack gone to Brazil for expedition, sent his wife a wired message regarding his search of a new uncharted territory of the mythical city. This was the last time when his was voice was heard after this no trace of Percy and his son Jack was found. Many explanations were given like the Indian tribe who are conscious of their culture and hostility would have killed them. It was also bizarre that he became the chief of Cannibalistic Indians. Many search teams were sent in his search but results were nil, leading to the death of nearly 100 people.

6. D.B. Cooper

D.B. Copper is the one most popular criminal in American history. The name D.B. cooper was his assumed name or it is name kept by people of this unknown man. D.B. cooper hijacked a commercial airline i.e. Boeing 727 in 1971 and in ransom for releasing the passengers he asked for four parachutes and unmarked bills of 200,000. When his demand was fulfilled then he ordered pilots to again take off plane to Reno, Nevada. Then around Vancouver he lowered the stairs of the aircraft and then jump off with the parachute. That was the last time when he was seen and then he was lost forever and his identity was remain a secret.

5. The Mary Celeste

The Mary Celeste was a merchant vessel which was also known as “ghost ship” after the incident of disappearance of seven crew members along with the family of Captain Benjamin Briggs. The Mary Celeste was found in 1872 which was deserted and drifted in Atlantic Ocean. The vessel’s life raft was totally damaged and the ship was having all the necessary items which were required for survival but no trace of life was found. The theory of piracy also came but on the ship all the valuables were untouched so that theory was rejected.

4. Joseph Force Crater

On the night August 6,1930, a well known judge in New York City, was disappeared through a crater which was afterwards became with name of “Joseph Force Crater”. When this incidence happened of disappearance it became a national fascination. There were theories set that Crater’s safe box was stealed along with thousands of dollar, but no concrete proof was found.

3. The Lost Colony

The most interesting and mass disappearance was of the whole colony of Roanoke Island in 1587. In this incident a group of 114 people try to settle a colony at that island, but for the permission to establish a permanent colony over there and with the fear of local tribes the commander of those people John White was gone back to England. When he came back in 1590 with the permission he found no one over there, in fact no single trace was found of habitation of those people on that island

2. Amelia Earhart

Amelia Earhart can be considered as the most famous and well known personality in the list. She was the pilot and had broken numerous records in her field. In 1937 she had he most remarkable achievement with Fred Noonan as the Navigator. In this achievement she flew the fight all around the world. She met several mishaps in the journey like bad and unpredictable weather conditions. Also it happened that she wanted to refuel the plane but was unable to find the place to refuel. There at that journey at sometime her plane lost the contact will all the stations and was marked as missing. This happened in July 2 when her missing plane was investigate but was not found even after placing a search at 250,000 miles of the ocean. Not even a single piece of information was found after so much of search and investigation. There are many theories which said that either she crashed in an island and died or their plane suffered lock of gas and went into the ocean.

1. Jimmy Hoffa

Jimmy Hoffa who was the well known labour organiser. In International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Jimmy Hoffa was at the position of the president and remained there for many years. In spite of many investigations his missing case remained a mystery and is yet a mystery and an unsolved case. This case took years of investigations and speculations but the not conclusion was found. He had remarkable mob connections. This case is said to be the most mysterious case ever. Investigators strongly doubt that Jimmy Hoffa is murdered because his business has strong connections with the families who were involved in crime. His dead body was not been found and people doubt that either his body was being mixed into the concrete which was used in the building of Giant football Stadium of New York or it was buried under the swimming pool which was crushed by Compactor in Michigan. He was considered as dead in the year 1982. The case of Jimmy Hoffa’s file is not closed.

Top 10 Most Haunted Scary Places in India

India has been the land of mysteries and paranormal activities. Many parts and states of India are still considered to be haunted or abrupt for human beings to stay or live. While some stories could be claimed to have been made up, till some of the still existing archaeological sites which have particular banned visiting hours, every historical site has some or the other story hidden behind them. India being a place rich in stories and ancient fables, a lot many places in this country have had mysterious happenings which remains unexplained till date. 10. Forts of Bhangarh, Alwar (Rajasthan)

Built in the year 1613 by the great Kind Madho Singh, the son of great Mughal General Man Singh of Amber, this site is one of the oldest and scariest forts existing in India. This fort is believed to have been cursed by a famous Tantrik, Guru Balu Nath, which basically restricting or stopped people from building roofs over their houses. Only temples and other holy shrines were allowed to have a roof, else the whole place consisted of houses with no roof tops. The place is still believed to have witnessed break downs of a couple of houses with roof tops, and the locals there also believe that people who visit the fort after dark have returned. Due to some unexplained disappearances, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has banned the entry of visitors in this fort after sunset, and there is a board right outside this fort stating and warning about the same.

9. GP Block, Meerut (Uttar Pradesh)

The GP Block in Meerut is now one deserted lone lane in some corner of the city. It is a double storey building which is deserted and without any occupancy. People have claimed to see the spirits of four boys sitting at the edge of the terrace of that building. Others have claimed to have seen a woman coming out of the building in a red saree. The other locals also have apparently seen or witnessed the sight of four boys sitting around a table lit by a candle in the centre, and having beer. Such strange happenings and encounters have led to people avoiding that route at all, and today no one passes by this unknown yet haunted place.

8. Dumas Beach, Surat (Gujarat)

This beach is one beautiful beach in the city of Surat in Gujarat. This lovely place is known to be haunted as some people have mysteriously disappeared from this beach while taking a walk along the same beach during the night. This place is claimed to have been the place where ancient Hindus used to bury dead bodies for their funeral. The spirits of those dead bodies are said to have been lurking around this place since then, mysteriously whispering to people to not go forward and warning them to leave the beach and go back. A lot of whispering sounds have been reported from this beach, under very mysterious circumstances. There has been occurrences of paranormal activities taking place in this beach, the reason which remains unexplained till date. 7. Brij Raj Bhavan Heritage Hotel, Kota (Rajasthan)

Today known to be the residence of the spirit or lurking ghost of the British Army Major Burton, this palace once belonged to a very reputed Rajasthan princely family. Major Burton was killed by the Indian sepoys in the 1857 Mutiny. His sons were also killed in the battle by the Indian sepoys. Therefore, this place is believed to be haunted by the Major. There has been an existing myth that if any security guard is found sleeping or been lax during this duty time, the spirit or ghost of the Major comes and slaps the sleeping guard, alerting him to perform his duties.

6. Dow Hill, Kurseong, West Bengal

Reports of people being murdered had been coming from this forest. The Dow Hill region is a lush green forest, with people claiming this place to have a very spooky and eerie feeling and atmosphere around it. With a very unfavourable and scary ambience, the locals of this region are believed to have seen a headless boy walking among the forest and then have seen him disappearing into the trees. It is also rumoured that some mysterious sounds of footsteps have been heard very frequently from the corridors of the Victoria Boys School during the December- March vacations. Such unexplained events have led to this beautiful lush region being isolated and lone.

5. Delhi Cantt, Delhi

The Delhi Cantonment area (Delhi Cantt) has been claimed to be haunted by the ghost of a hitchhiker. People have witnessed a lady clad in a white sari down the Delhi Cantt road, especially at nights where she is seen to ask for lifts to alone passengers in cars or bikes. On refusing to give her a lift, the ghost of this lady starts chasing that vehicle with the same speed, or sometime even faster than the speed of the vehicle. She is believed to have been a hitchhiker while she was alone, hence her ghost still lurks around the forest asking lifts from alone passers-by.

4. D’Souza Chawl of Mahim, Mumbai, Maharashtra

The D’Souza Chawl of Mahim, located in Mumbai in the state of Maharashtra is also known to be one of the most haunted places in the country. The story goes with a lady drowning into an existing well in this area while fetching water for her. She had accidently drowned and her ghost is believed to have been lurking around in the D’Souza Chawl. The residents there have seen and witnessed an apparition of the ghost of the lady, though many people believe that the spirit is completely harmless.

3. Tunnel No. 103, Shimla

This tunnel, named Tunnel No. 103 lies in the Shimla-Kalka Railway line. This tunnel is said to one of the oldest tunnels existing in the country, and is also considered to be scary and frightening, especially due to the damp, wet and dingy atmosphere of the tunnel. This tunnel is claimed to have been haunted by the spirit or ghost of an Englishmen during the really olden times. The ghost resides inside and he answers any questions asked while being inside the tunnel. This fort was built by a Maratha Emperor for a Peshwa heir in 1747. On a new moon night, this 13 year old Peshwa dynasty heir, Narayana was brutally assassinated by one of his own relative. People say that even till today, his shouts and cries of help could still be heard among the walls of the fort, especially on every new moon night. The house however was burned down in 1939 but the grounds and the sites remain haunted.

2. Trans-Alleghany Lunatic Asylum:

Thomas kirbride And Dorothea dix are the two respectable men who tried to change the fate of those undesired people who were treated as animals, they not only proposed but implemented on some new means of the treatment of the mentally challenged people, they constructed a trans Alleghany asylum whose architecture was very unique, they believed that the carved pictures on the wall and the ventilation would help these patience recovered, the hospital however brought no luck to the mentally challenged people but made their conditions even worse, the patience were tormented emotionally, sexually as well as physically by the staff, the number of deaths increased which also brought a rise in the unpleasant events, weird sounds, cries of people & animal, orbs of lights. By 2007, the hospital which had the capacity of 250 people had 2400 mental patients, the hospital was shut down but the place still remains haunted, these days the building is used as a tourist spot, horror parties and fund raising programs.

1. Edinburgh Castle, Scotland:

Edinburgh castle, which is the most haunted place of Scotland, was built in the 12^th century and served as a military fortress, the castle stands between the sea & hills, this castle has seen many executions, wars, attacks, deaths, murders and a lot of bloodshed, the walls of this castle bears the silence of those unlucky people whose souls were unwillingly & brutally ripped apart from their bodies, the dungeon of this castle has endured the screams of the prisoners and the disappearance of those unlucky lucky people whose existence was amalgamated into the walls.
